How Halal Afrika Is Pushing the Boundaries of Gospel

Blending Afro sounds with an uplifting devotional message, the event aims to
project African Music and activate “praise with no reservations” to God.

Being a Ghanaian inspired project, Halal Afrika focuses on the unification of the African believer under one roof in
praise and worship.
Halal Africa is the brainchild of two brothers, Daniel and Godfred Onnomah. Growing up in a close, Christian,
musical family in Ghana, they developed a love for worship at a young age. They fondly reminisce over memories
of performing as toddlers in their father’s Church, Victory Rock Chapel.
Daniel and Godfred have been behind lots of such events since 2004 in Ghana, USA, South Africa and featured
major artistes like Micah Stampley, Joe Mettle, and producers like Chris Leach, Koda, Sean Walters, and Herbert
Crassie (Oshogbo).
The uniqueness of the event is how it assembles different artistes from across the continent and beyond, on one
stage for an electrifying, spirit-charged gospel live concert.
Halal Afrika is pushing boundaries because; “we strive above all to sing spiritually. Have an eye to God in every
word we sing. Aim at pleasing Him more than ourselves, or any other creature”, said the CEO and founder Danny.

“In order to do this we feature ministers (singers) who attend strictly to the sense of what they sing, and see that
their heart and that of the audience is not carried away with the sound, but offered to God continually; so that the
singing, the worship, the praise, the gratitude, the concept of the event and rational behind it be such as the Lord
will approve here, and reward us when he comes in the clouds of heaven” Said Godfred Onnomah
It is said that,
“When we lift our hands in praise and worship, we break spiritual jars of perfume over Jesus. The fragrance of our
praise fills the whole earth and touches the heart of God.”
― dennis Ignatius
"Worship is not lazy, boring and sad.
Worship is zealous, famous and joyful.”
― Mac Canoza
“I might not be a good singer but I will praise and worship God with all my heart. I might not be the best dancer
but I will dance for the Lord all the days of my life.”
― Euginia Herlihy
