Basketball is more than just being fast and strong. It’s about giving your heart to the game. Players Love It. Coaches Love It. Fans Love It.

BallUp3on3 is a basketball festival that celebrates the basketball culture within the hip hop community. The first festival was hosted in early 2016 and occurs twice a year pulling an average crowd of 1800 people.

The festival activities consist of a Dunk contest, 3 point contest, a 3 on 3 basketball and 5 vs 5 soccer tournament both with a huge Grand Prize up for grabs. Also included is a 5 on 5 celebrity soccer alongside celebrity 3 on 3 basketball game as well as U19 high school 3 on 3 basketball tournament.


Over the years BallUp3on3 has had celebrity participants such as Bontle Modiselle, Priddy Ugly, Reason HD, Sdumo Mtshali, Pallance Dladla, Dj switch, JR, Stilo Magolide, Dj Milkshake, Akio Kawahito and Clint Brink just to name a few.

Since BallUp3on3’s inception the event has been covered by visual media partners such as Supersport Tv, Shizniz, Vuzu, amongst other TV Channels. The event has also received media support from Hype Magazine, Slikouronlife and YFM. Brands such as Cross Trainer, MTN, Score Energy Drink, Castle Lite have financially support the festival. Click Media Productions which is BallUp3on3’s holding company was in charge of live activation & promotion of NBA Africa Game 2017 & 2018.


To extend and promote the vision and growth of basketball within different provinces and, ultimately in South Africa especially with NBA’s Africa league launching this year.

•To create awareness around the existence of basketball and the career opportunities that come with the sport in South Africa

•To bridge the generational & social gaps by bringing together the entire basketball community & youth for a day out of fun and competition.
