SOKI SAKA

Soki Saka, real name Soki Adelaide Modise, is a South African born singer and pianist. Raised in Pretoria, She is known for her House and Soul inspired sound that is a prominent musical culture in and around her city.

Soki can be found combining Afro and Rnb sounds to current trends; while still maintaining her House music roots and representing youngsters in the vocal-lyricist scene. Her debut single titled Wena has garnered local buzz with a vintage inspired

music video that has peaked at Number 2 on MTV’s Afropop countdown. The song Wena has also been featured on the popular soapie Rhythm City and is a regular on Trace Urban’s House and Afro offerings.

This year Soki delivers a soulful Amapiano inspired track titled Sweet Memories; a song about love, reconciliation and unapologetic feels.

“I wanted to write a fun song about Love! Sweet Memories was so challenging to make, combing Afrosoul and Amapiano, but it’s my favourite song I’ve ever written. I love listening to it!”
